The "O" nozzles have an oval spray fan pattern with a larger dry area and a wet core to match an increased application speed at the expense of slightly lower application control during the painting process. The film per layer compared to an "I" nozzle is a bit larger.
The "I" nozzles produce a parallel spray fan model with a minimal dry area and a drier center, ideal for painters preferring a low application speed and maximum application control during the painting process. The film on the layer compared to an "O" nozzle of the same size is slightly reduced.
