Neutral Binder for Leather Repairing Colourlock, 250ml

Neutral Binder for Leather Repairing Colourlock, 250ml is a strong binder that stabilizes the leather surface without hardening it. It is used for leather whose surface has become fragile, crumbly, with many fine cracks.

In the case of nappa leathers (dyed on the surface), the phenomenon of a crumbly (parchment) surface occurs with dehydration during the aging process. For such surfaces, a refresh of the color with Leather Fresh is insufficient to restore resistance and at the same time such surfaces are too large for the application of the Fluid Leather filling paste. Neutral Binder for Leather Repairing Colourlock, 250ml is helpful for such surfaces to regain their strength.

Neutral Binder for Leather Repairing Colourlock, 250ml is a binder with fine filling properties, stable, but flexible.

This leather repair solution is always a temporary option for leather replacement. Areas with too large defects should be replaced. Neutral Binder is used for areas where the leather is not used intensively. It won't look like new, but it will be durable for a long time.

Important! Always immediately repair new defects that appear after a repair so that the defect does not become too large for future interventions.

The amount of 250 ml of Neutral Binder is sufficient to restore the strength of a surface of 1-2 m2. One liter of Neutral Binder is enough to repair several items of furniture or car interior and is a suitable aid for those who repair leather frequently.

Application:

DO NOT clean the surface with Colourlock Mild Leather Cleaner, 1000ml. In order to avoid defective areas that have open pores.
Degrease the surface very well with Leather Cleaner and Degreaser Colourlock Spirit, 1L, so that the Neutral Binder adheres very well
Lightly sand the rough area with Leather Sanding Pad Colourlock, but carefully, without increasing the defect
Apply Neutral Binder with a sponge and let it dry at room temperature, but without using any other heat source
After drying, the surface will become rough again as a result of the drying of the Neutral Binder product. Sand again with the Leather Sanding Pad and remove the dust with a cloth moistened with Leather Cleaning Spirit.
Repeat the procedure until no further improvement can be obtained. If deep defects remain, they can be filled with Fluid Leather
Refreshing the color is done with Leather Fresh. For the best result, Leather Fresh must be applied in several layers using circular movements or dabbing. Dry after each application with a hair dryer and correct imperfections with Leather Sanding Pad
Finally, after a day, treat the leather with Colourlock Leather Protector, 1000ml in the case of matte surfaces or with Colourlock Elephant Leather Preserver, 125ml in the case of glossy surfaces. A periodic care, once or twice a year, will increase the lifespan of the leather.
