Battery Charger Bosch C1, 12V is designed for charging acid and lead batteries with and without maintenance, used in cars, motorcycles, etc. The battery capacity can be from 12V (5Ah) to 12V (120Ah). A special design of the device allows recharging the battery up to almost 100% of its capacity. The charger has a total of 1 charging modes for different batteries in different states. This allows for more efficient and safer charging. Unlike conventional products, the charger has a special function (charging in pulses) that allows the recharging of almost discharged batteries.
Maintenance charging: in order to obtain the battery charging status, the charger can remain permanently connected, in this case the charger stops the charging process automatically. Thanks to an integrated circuit, the charger starts charging after a few seconds, thus avoiding the sparks that frequently appear when connecting.
Mode 1: Suitable for batteries with a capacity of over 14 Ah in cold condition, as well as for many EFB batteries.
As soon as the charger is connected, the StandBy LED lights up intermittently. By pressing the Mode selection key, the Charging LED lights up. If no subsequent procedure is undertaken, the loading process starts automatically after a few seconds. After the battery has been successfully charged, the Full LED display lights up, and the Charging LED display turns off.
The device has an intermittent charging mode, which starts automatically. For this purpose, the display with Charging LEDs lights up. The charging mode is active between 14.7 V and 15 V at a maximum of 200 mA.
Charging in pulses: It is an automatic function of the charger, which cannot be selected manually. If at the beginning of the charging process the battery voltage in 12V mode is between 4.5 V and 10.5 V, the charger automatically switches to pulse charging. Upon reaching a battery voltage of over 10.5 V, the charger automatically switches to the previously selected charging mode. In this way, a better loading is achieved.
